What is natural horsemanship and what's different about it?
"Natural Horsemanship is defined as the philosophy of working with horses by appealing to their instints and herd mentality. It involves communication techniques derived from wild horse observation in order to build a partnership that closely resembles the relationship that exists between horses."
The big difference between natural horsemanship and some traditional training techniques is that traditional training can often put every horse in one category - not paying enough attention to their very different personalities and needs. Natural Horsemanship is about finding out what makes each individual horse tick. Communicating with them in a language that they understand. Resulting in a faster, and lasting bond among horse and rider.
