**All horses offered for sale are up to date on their vaccinations, dental health, coggins (upon request), farrier, and de-worming. Our "Mane" concern is to find the right match in a horse and rider to ensure success for all involved. We'd love to help you find your perfect partner. We also have several horses not listed, so please if you have any questions contact us.
"Dixie" is a 2008 AQHA Bay Roan mare. She is 14.2 hands, with a huge personality. As friendly as they come, loves people. Her pedigree speaks for itself, Smart Little Lena/Smart Chic OLena/Colonel Freckles/Doc O Dynamite, and on and on. Disposition, Breeding, and ready to get to work. We have hauled her to a few barrel races, and she handled it great. Good with trotting/loping exhibitions. She is well rounded and has a good foundation; she side passes, collects, half pass, big stop, and snappy turns. She stalls great, eats/drinks. She is very confident and rides out nicely. We have only used her on cows once, to separate bulls - she did great! Would make a youth horse eventually, really sweet disposition.
Konah is an amazing YOUNG gelding!!!
There isn't much he hasn't proven he can do. We have done all of his training, and are so proud to offer this talented, highly intelligent, athletic gelding for sale. He has been our demonstration horse for clinics and lessons for the past five years. He accompanied us for two winters in Texas, has gone to different arenas and settings, and he travels very well. Konah is a very foundationally well rounded horse, with skills that include: side pass, leg cues, verbal cues, yield to pressure, stop/back up with the riders' seat, shoulder in/out, beautiful departures, excellent transitions, and on and on. He is well started over fences, loping a correct barrel and pole pattern, basically has the foundation to do ANYTHING you ask of him. I've also ridden him bareback and bridleless. He in addition to being a well-rounded western performance horse, is an equally talented hunter/jumper. He is extremely cowy, and LOVES to work cattle in or out of the arena. I have taken him on 25+ mile wilderness rides over serious terrain. I started him over fences as a six year old. He qualified for the world ApHC show in Hunter Hack, and was my personal horse for the Greg Best Clinic two years ago. Konah is a very confident, curious, bold horse who is not afraid to try anything. He has placed very well at every show we took him to last summer, and won a bronze in the 2'6" Big Sky State Games in July. He shows a ton of maturity for his age and experience. He stands 16 hands tall, with huge bone, awesome feet, and the largest heart you will ever find. There is no way to write down all of his talents as he truly is a one of kind gentleman. He will wait by the gate, hoping you will pick him to go work and never complain. A fun little treat for his rider is when he side passes on cue up to the mounting block or fence to help you mount. We have also used that cue to unload elk he has packed!! He needs a rider who will engage him mentally and give him love and attention. He has been ridden by novice/intermediate riders and taken care of them well. His pedigree is filled with horses that have proved they can be versatile, gentle, love people, and best of all have sound minds and bodies.
